The most dramatic piece — an arched mirror set into a dark wood frame carved clean through, so the light shows between the mother-of-pearl petals and vines rather than behind a solid backing. A tall, open fretwork crown tops the frame, with small abalone accents set like jewels at its center, and a vine of mother-of-pearl leaves winds down both sides of the arch to a scalloped petal edge at the base.
