Discover the art of tatreez with Palestinian artist and educator Lina, founder of Lina’s Thobe. As a Palestinian in the diaspora, Lina fell in love with tatreez in 2019 and embarked on a journey to create her own embroidered thobe, a traditional Palestinian dress. Through her work, she helps fellow Palestinians connect to their roots and introduces allies to this meaningful art form. Lina believes tatreez is more than embroidery—it's a way to tap into the history, resilience, and beauty of Palestine.
What is Tatreez?
Tatreez is a traditional Palestinian embroidery technique passed down through generations, rich with stories of heritage, identity, and resistance. Each stitch holds meaning, telling tales of family, culture, and resilience.
